T-Shirt Paper Stencil Screen Prints on Saturday August 20, 10:30AM-1:30PM lead by Steve McKenzie. It’s the technique of using a sheet of copy paper to create a stencil. Steve will give a brief tutorial on how to create a stencil from an original drawing or black and white image, showing how to link the interior parts of the design to the exterior parts. From that point he will demonstrate how to cut the stencil either with scissors or an X-acto knife. Upon completion of the cutting of the stencil the next step is printing the image. This is accomplished by using the printing ink as the adhesion agent as you simultaneously print your image onto t-shirt or garment. Students must be able to operate scissors and bring a plain t-shirt.
Kid’s Art Extravaganza is FREE to all kids. Please register at office@lakecityareaarts.org. Thanks to Greater Lake City Community Foundation.
